​After a series of writing tasks generating text around the themes of home, belonging, community and selfhood, we began to create a narrative structure, by creating the make-believe island of Hopia and locating the ideas around the head, heart, body and spirit of the island. Doing this enabled us to take our female characters on a journey of discovery, which endswith a deep sense of what it means to be women together in a partnership model of being, cultivating community, belonging, support, personal growth and resilience.
